Graceless

The jeans hang on the roof, kissing the sun
but the sky is white and calm, you object
graceless, wishing for summer inside
the droplets of the rain, hazing into their mothers belly
wetting creatures, humans with dirt on their heads
and possibly your crisp dry jeans, facing the wrath
of the angels, or everyone else.
